Degree Programs
The Public Administration program is a general public sector professional
degree program, intended to prepare graduates for managerial roles in
government and non-profit enterprises. Graduates of the program will be
equipped with the knowledge and skills required to lead and contribute
to organizational success at the executive level. Mastery of the critical
competencies such as administration, public policy planning, decision
making, environmental scanning, finance, budgeting, and research are included
in the program of study.
The public administrator is one that is key to working between businesses,
the government and the public. Once you have completed your course work
for this degree, you will qualify for a number of positions. Some areas
in which you can work including city, state and county government administration,
nonprofit organizations, health care fields as well as other areas and
businesses that serve the public.
Those that enroll in the public administrator degree program will take
management courses, financial planning courses as well as courses in governmental
programs, funding analysis and design, managing people, leadership courses,
and communication.
